Ways to Share Your Photography
By Burt Cunningham http://mypicturesupply.com
Taking the picture is only part of the process. What do you do with your digital photography once you have pictures that you want to share with your family and friends, or even the rest of the world? Most of us want to share or display our photos in some way.
Today, there are are more ways than ever to display photographs and share them with others. There are many sites on the internet which can take care of your needs, from traditional photo printing to photo books, note cards, and photo gifts or online display and storing of your digital photography. You can create your own blog to share digital photos or share them with your friends on MySpace or Facebook and others.
You can make your own coffee table photo books or wedding books without spending a fortune at sites such as Snapfish or Picaboo . These places make beautiful books at an affordable price. This is a great way to show off your photographs or to preserve memories for your clients and families.
There are programs to organize your digital photo files which can also create slide shows which you can share with others. Many programs, such as ACDSee, also allow you to retouch and enhance your digital photos.
Digital cameras have made this explosion of services possible. In just a few years the quality of the digital photos has gone from poor to fantastic. The first digital cameras made good images for viewing on the computer and not much else. Today digital cameras are capable of making 20×30 poster sized prints and even larger. The newest thing is that all of the manufacturer’s are putting on digital cameras is the ability to shoot HD video with live viewing of the LCD screen. It has been a fun ride. I can’t wait to see what the future brings.
